Trained at the prestigious Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, Delhi, Dr. Sethi is proficient in kerato-refractive surgery including Phacoemulsification surgery and LASIK. She has also specialized in orbital and oculoplastic surgery. While working as Consultant, Ophthalmology at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, apart from routine clinical work, she was also involved in various teaching programmes for the DNB students. She has been the Guide and Co-guide for students for their theses.

Dr Sethi has co-authored a book on phacoemulsification entitled- “Manual of Phaco technique: A text and Atlas" by Dr Harbansh Lal, Dr. Anita Sethi, CBS publishers, New Delhi 2002.
She has been invited to review articles for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, a prestigious indexed ophthalmology journal.
